We want your workshop experience with CEC to be smooth and worry-free. Below you’ll find answers to common questions about cancellations, rescheduling, substitutions, and other important policies to help you plan with confidence.
What is your cancellation policy?
A full refund will be provided if notification of cancellation is submitted via email to us at least 6 business days prior to the scheduled workshop. Cancellations made during the 6 business days prior are liable for the full amount of the registration fee.
What if I have to reschedule?
If you are unable to attend a workshop for which you are registered, we will transfer your registration to the next available offering of the same workshop at no cost to you provided you inform us via email at least 6 business days prior to the workshop.
Can I substitute someone to attend in my place?
Yes. If you can no longer attend and would like to send someone in your place, please email us as soon as possible with the following information for the person who will be taking your place:
- Name
- Position
- Organization, Department
- Phone Number

What if I don’t turn up for the course?
If you do not show up for a workshop for which you are registered, you are liable for the entire registration fee. We realize that sometimes things come up beyond your control. When “life” happens and you miss a workshop, please email us and we will transfer your registration to the next available offering of the same workshop.
What if the workshop I’m scheduled to attend is cancelled?
If a workshop is cancelled, you will be asked to choose one of the following:
- Transfer your registration to the next available session of the same workshop;
- Transfer your registration to another workshop offered by the CEC;
- Cancel your registration and CEC will issue you a refund (if applicable).
What materials will I receive at the course?
You will receive digital copies of the workshop PPT, participant handouts, and exercises.
Do you offer in-house training?
Any CEC course can be delivered to your group at your location. To learn more, visit our page on online professional development, or contact us to discuss your requirements.
What if we have to cancel an in-house course?
Our cancellation policy for in-house workshops is as follows:
- 14+ days prior to scheduled workshop date – no charge
- 7-13 days prior to schedule workshop date – 50% of workshop development and delivery fee(s)
- 0-6 days prior to scheduled workshop date – 100% of workshop development and delivery fee(s)
Do you customize or develop courses?
We customize existing courses and develop new courses to meet our clients’ requirements. To learn more, visit our page on custom in-house workshops, or contact us to discuss your requirements.
Do you offer any workshops in French?
Open-registration workshops are available in English only; however, the majority of our workshops can be delivered in French on an in-house basis.
What about follow-up questions after a course?
You can ask the instructor questions after the course through the CEC by emailing us at information@comcec.com.
What about post-workshop support?
If you need advice, confirmation of a decision, or someone to discuss ideas with email information@comcec.com.
Do you provide a certificate?
Certificates of completion are distributed at the conclusion of open-registration workshops. No certificates are issued for in-house workshops unless specifically requested by the client.
What is the CEC’s privacy policy?
Any information received from CEC workshop registrants is exclusively for CEC administrative and instructional purposes and not shared with any outside organization(s). To learn more, view our privacy policy page.
What about copyright and intellectual property?
All copyrights, patents, designs and other intellectual property rights in or relating to any course materials provided or made available in connection with our courses remain the sole property of the CEC and its associates. No part of any course materials may be reproduced, stored in a retrieval system, or transmitted in any form or by any means, electronic, mechanical, photocopying, recording or otherwise, or translated into any language, without the prior written permission of the CEC.
How do you assess the effectiveness of your courses?
Course particpants are asked to complete an evaluation questionnaire at the conclusion of the course.
