Scott Hannant is a seasoned communicator with extensive experience at the executive-level. Scott has worked across the corporate, government, academic and not-for-profit-sectors. Prior to stepping away from full time work, he was a director with the Canadian Centre on Substance Use and Addiction (CCSA) where he led the communications, public affairs, and production division.
As the former News Director of CTV Ottawa and a national news producer he brings deep expertise in media and crisis communications. He also taught journalism at the master’s level at Carleton University.
Scott’s media relations skills are grounded in hands-on experience producing interviews with prime ministers, cabinet ministers and corporate leaders. He crafted the tough questions and coached news correspondents.
Scott is a recipient of the Queen Elizabeth ll Diamond Jubilee Medal and Ottawa’s Community Builder Award.
Currently, Scott volunteers as a member of national communications team for the Canadian Red Cross. He is past President of the Board of the Ottawa Mission and an honorary lifetime member of the Vanier Institute.  He also serves on the Gala Committee of the Wabano Centre on Aboriginal Health.
